XXI WEEK

10 FEB - 14 FEB

On Monday we start with Catia's class, with the surface module. Then the professor let us continue with the challenge of the injection mould, in this challenge we have to do a reverse engineering and change the mould for one designed by us. Afterwards we gave a small class of embossing and finished the day with a small test of oral skills in English.

On Tuesday we started the class with Gaizka's explanation about embossing. He gave us a brief summary of what he had explained to us so far. Then we did an exercise to go over all the theory he had given us so far. Once these exercises were finished, he explained to us  how the exam was going to be and what he was going to ask of us. In the following hours  we continue with the third challenge and measuring the pieces to make them in Catia. At theend of the day we had a brief meeting to find out what progress we had made so far.

On Wednesday we started the classes with Julen, with him we made an exercise in the module of surfaces, to review for the exam of Monday, then with nagore we looked at the notes of each RA, and we continued measuring and making the assembly of the challenge 3, we measured the two bases of the mold, and later we added them to the mold, with iranzu we made the distribution of the questions and later we continued with the challenge where we measured the guide columns and also we joined them to the assembly.

On thursday we did some exercises of Catia to pratice for the exam of the next Monday.
After the break with Iranzu we red some questions that we have to do to another group because we have to ask them and write there answers in our project so we have to be aware of what they answer because that it will be our final mark. Then we finished measuring all the pieces of the bases, so we started doing the blueprints of them to finish the 3 challenge. 

XX WEEK

3 FEB - 7 FEB

On Monday, 3 of februaty, we didn't have class because it was San Blas day in Abadiño and the school take this day as a festive day. On San Blas, the tradition is to visit the animal sellers fair and the food and crafts fair. Is typical to eat a sweet made with anise call San Blas. The most traditional thing of this day is the one called San Blas cord, this cord is blessed by  a priest in the church and it`s supposed to prevent all the throat evils. The cord has to be put in your neck for nine days and after the nine days has to be burned

On Tuesday we were finishing Challenge 2. In the first hours, those of us who didn't have 

the base tied to the die, had to tie it with screws and wrists. This task is delivered to the 

clasroom. Once the task is completed, we continue to finish the document that will be asked of us tomorrow. In this task we have to deliver a document where it appears the initials and the casting base tied to the die of our group.

On Wednesday we started the classes with Julen, with him we did an exercise in the surface module of CATIA, then we presented the challenge 3 which was to make the plans of an injection mold and make some changes in the same mold, then we started to finish the documentation of the challenge 2, and then with iranzu we started to make the company part of the challenge 3.

On thursday we started the class with Julen and we continued doing exercises of surface modals, because we have to practice for the exam that we have the next week.
After the break we measure some pieces of the third challenge to make the 3D in Catia.
The last two hours while some people are doing the challenge others start studying for the exam that we have tomorrow of melting.

XVIX WEEK

JAN 27- JAN 31

On Monday we had to fill in a small evaluable form with Nagore about some characteristics of the foundry. We also continued with the design of the casting base for our die as it was being assembled. In the English class we finished making the presentations and we did a dialogue exercise between two people out loud. The topics were either a dialogue between a client and a company dedicated to the supply of tools or a call to arrange an appointment with an executive of a company.

On Tuesday, Julen started explaining to us about the surfaces. We started to do the directions he was giving us in Catia. Then Gaizka started to give us the theory about drawing, using Power Point and Word. In the following hours we had to continue with Challenge 2. In our group we divide the work and each one does his part. This project will have to be delivered next Thursday and we will have to make a presentation explaining what we have done. 

On Wednesday we started the classes with Julen, with him we started with the module of surfaces, then we made some pieces in 3d and then he gave us a sheet to make an exercise, then in the next two hours, we went to a foundry, called FUMBARRI, for a visit, to see the process of casting and help us in the process of designing the base. At the last minute we were with iranzu, with it we corrected the errors of the company documentation.

On thursday we didnt do anything special, we continued working on the project and also they said us that we had to improve our assembly and to have it ready for the next Wednesday. On Friday we had a feedback about how is the challenge going and how it was the communication inside the group.
