XVII WEEK

On monday we had to finish our sketch on Catia about the fondry base for the die we designed. The function of the base is to elevate de die to the correct work position and also provide channels for the evacuation of scrap created during the stamping process.
On Catia class Julen explained us the hole position tolerance and teached how to do a drilling table with the cordinates of each hole. 

Today we've moved on to the third challenge. The first two hours we continued to make the sketch of the casting base. Then Ion came, to explain to us what he does in his work and to solve our doubts. 
Then we continued to do the sketches. We will have to have the sketches done soon so we can choose the final sketch to continue with our project.

On Wednesday we started the classes with Julen, with him we did an exercise in CATIA, the exercise consisted of designing a piece in 3d and then make the plane of the same, at the end of the exercise, we continue with the design of the base of casting, each member of the group had to design a sketch, and the last two hours we used to measure parts of the die, give theory on materials of casting and to agree the visit to betsaide.

On thursday was the day that we had to visit the company called "Betsaide" located in Elorrio, after the visits we got 2 hours to continue with our project. That day we selected which base of the day we are going to do. Around 11:15 we started the tour of the company and we looked 3 different "types" of work that they did there. It trip was interested because we learnt something about melting, and it will be helpful to us in the future.
